20 year old scottish striker looking for a team
Hi Guys
Name is Joel age 20 and from scotland. Looking to get back into playing football as i have benn out of it for a while. I played with a number of teams back in scotland including 2 professional teams at the age of 15. Unfortunately that didn't work out but never the less i carried on playing. I play the position centre forward and have a good eye for goal i was also top goalscorer for 2 sunday league teams back home 3 years in a row and would very much like to get back into that kind of form. I have recently arrived in New Zealand and i am living in Auckland, Glendowie so if there is any teams within a reasonable distance looking for players i would love to hear from you. Unfortunately i don't always have access to a car as my drivers permit is of course invalid over here but could get a ride to training sessions and games every now and again perhaps. Thanks Guys!

Still looking?
Hi Joel,
Are you still looking for an 11 a-side team? My team Auckland Volcanoes FC are playing a friendly on Sunday 22nd Jan (this weekend) at 4pm and are looking to trial a few new players if you are interested? Let me know ASAP and I will provide you with details. Thanks.

Looking for a Team?
Hi Joel,
I run the NZ Celtic Supporters team and we are always looking for new players for the season ahead. You don't need to be a Celtic fan to join us but you do need to be able to have a laugh and be socialable.
We are starting Pre-Season on the 12th Feb and we would love to have you come down and meet the lads and see how you get on.
Please contact me on nzceltic@ihug.co.nz if you are interested.
Regards,
Kevin

Mighty Zee Rovers
Hi Joel
don't know if you are sorted yet but we would be keen on talking to you if you are looking for another option
Zamantix Rovers are one of the longer established clubs in the Auckland Sunday Football Association, and one of the few actual clubs, rather than just a singular team as many of the sides competing are. Despite this, the club retains a fantastic club spirit and is run by the players for the players. Zee Rovers draws players from across the greater Auckland area, and a fair indication of the club spirit is that we rarely lose members and when we do it tends to be to retirement.
We field teams in the ASFA premier division, as well as our famous ‘Deuce’ side a couple of divisions below. Topping off last season was the Old Boys, who as the name unimaginatively suggests plays in the over 35’s competition. The club is experiencing steady growth, and having spent a couple of season with the three teams, we are now looking to add an additional side as well as reinforce our current squads.
Once based at the ‘Fortress’ at Seymour Park, Zamantix are now domiciled at the Stadium at Bill McKinlay Park, where the “Tiger Turf” artificial surface means guaranteed play throughout the winter. This is backed up by field sat Colin Maiden Park, which is surely the best natural grass surface in Auckland. In addition to the excellent playing facilities, we are able to utilise the bar and other facilities at our home ground, allowing us the chance to play, train and socialise as a club.
Additionally Zee Rovers undertake an annual post-season trip to Wellington, as well as having travelled north to Paihia for a friendly. The summer months are filled in by a number of Zamantix teams playing shortened versions of the game, and the year is filled with social opportunities for the players.
In all we are a club with something to offer to most, with trophies currently in the cabinet and a great reputation both on and off the paddock, we are the player’s club.
If you are interested in talking further please contact Chris Noonan for more details.

Re: 20 year old scottish striker looking for a team
Hey Joel,
We are AUT FC and we have just been promoted to Division 3 having won back to back division titles. We play to a high standard but are also quite a social team so you'll find yourself going to heaps of uni parties during the year. Our home ground is the Auckland Domain which is convenient if you live in town. Let me know if you are interested. AUTFootball@gmail.com
Cheers,
James
