If anyone is in Wellington this weekend bring your boots!
This weekend is the 2nd leg of the inaugural Fever Cup competition.

The Fever Cup is a 2 legged competition between Auckland based Phoenix Supporters and Wellington based Phoenix Supporters.
The Wellingtonians played us at Bill McKinlay Park in February and limped home after a 4-0 thrashing by the Super Jaffas.

They'll be out for revenge so it's sure to be a good game.

It's also the day before the 12 Pubs of Lochhead pubcrawl incorporating the Phoenix v Sydney game.

were you playing the phoenix first team?

Nope, it was always going to be Wellington based supporters v Auckland based supporters, but the Phoenix were going to send one of the first team players down to ref the game, and they were going to put on a breakfast with the team.
But then the FFA changed the fixtures so they are playing on Thursday in Sydney, Sunday in Wellington, then Friday in Melbourne, so they didn't have enough time to get involved this time around.

They're keen to play a part in the 2014 competition starting up here on Feb 1 though

We got absolutely destroyed in our trip to the Capital.
13-3!
To be fair, most of our team hadn't played a game of football before, and they pulled in some top players from Capital 1 football.
Was good fun, but would be good to win the Cup back.

I'm going to be away for the return trip on Sunday 2nd of Feb but looking to get a team/field organised in the next couple of weeks.

Mike... just a very few months ago Martyn stated that Los Halcones was being disbandoned... for playing unregistered players and who knows, maybe even for the crap in the previous season with your thugz... so now all this disbandoning thing was just lip service? more unregistered playerz and thugz this season too in division 5? surely not...
